Tashara Ciera is the founder of Crown On Publishing, a purpose-driven publishing company built on one simple belief: Publishing with Purpose. Building Legacy.
A homeschooling mother, children’s author, and passionate advocate for character education, Tashara creates books that help children grow not only in knowledge, but in kindness, courage, wisdom, integrity, and other timeless virtues. She believes the stories children hear today help shape the adults they become tomorrow.
Inspired by the enduring wisdom of her beloved grandmother, Janet Faye McClinton-Austin, and by the everyday joy of raising her daughter, Tashara began writing with a desire to create something that would outlive her—a legacy of books that spark meaningful conversations, strengthen families, and encourage children to live out the virtues they learn.
Her debut series, Crown On Kids, combines imaginative storytelling, engaging activities, and thoughtful discussion prompts to help parents, grandparents, educators, homeschool families, and caregivers make character-building a natural part of everyday life. Each book is intentionally designed to invite children not only to read about virtues, but to recognize them, talk about them, and practice them.
For Tashara, publishing is about more than creating books—it’s about creating lasting impact. Through Crown On Publishing, she hopes to build a collection of resources that honors family, celebrates legacy, and reminds every child that true greatness begins with the character they build each day.
When she’s not writing or designing new learning experiences, you’ll likely find her homeschooling her daughter, enjoying living in the moment, or dreaming up new ways to help little hearts grow through virtue—one page at a time.
